On June 11, the Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) in Qingdao. Margaret Chan, Advisory Committee Member of Boao Forum for Asia and President of the Global Health Forum, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

Chen said that health should be a universal product and a shared asset of all of us. All people should enjoy their health. Health has a direct bearing on a country’s capability of sustainable development. Also, it is an important manifestation of stability and social vitality. Although humanity has made tremendous development in the field of health and the medical and health care industry has become one of the fastest growing sunrise industries in the world, we still see that more than half of the world’s population does not have access to health services, and many people’s health cannot be guaranteed because of poverty, inadequate health budgets, and we also face new problems and challengesh. For those working in global health, we need new business models, new health services, and new innovative technologies that give us more potential and capacity to work together to solve health problems for all. Therefore, prevention policies that integrate "multidisciplinary collaboration" in lifestyle, inclusion, innovation and technology are vital. Only prevention can make our life healthier and our society more sustainable.
