中国运动空间的供给严重不足

The first Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia was held in Qingdao on June 10 - 12. Deng Yaping, Olympic champion, table tennis Grand Slam winner and CEO of Deng Yaping Sports Industry Investment Fund, attended the sub-forum on "Health in All Policies - NCD Risk Factors" and shared her views.

Deng Yaping said that Chinese people are very familiar with developing sports and building up people's health, but it's not about getting gold medals for everyone, it's more important for us to live longer, happier and better. The Chinese government also attaches great importance to the sports, and includes the national fitness program into the national health strategy. With the introduction of policies, the amount of investment and financing began to rise.

Deng Yaping mentioned that the current sports space in China is seriously insufficient. In 2017 it is 1.66 square meters per capita, in 2020 it will reach 1.8 square meters, and in 2025 it is expected to reach 2 square meters. While in the United States it’s 16 square meters per capita, in Japan it’s 19 square meters per capita. In Zhengzhou, for example, the sports field per capita is 1.52 square meters, and if excluding the part that is not open to the public, it may be less than 1 square meter, so it is very difficult to reach 1.8 square meters per capita in 2020. Now we have used some park green space, dilapidated factory buildings transformed into places for sports where athletes and coaches can give professional guidance.

Deng Yaping said sports health is more about prevention, and hoped to prevent the disease by exercise.
