On May 31, the second Boao Forum for Asia Global Health Expo will be opened in International Exhibition Center, Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition on June 1, which is one of the important events of Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia, marking Qingdao in "Boao time" again. It is reported that the second Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia will be held in Qingdao from June 1 to 4, and consists of "1 opening ceremony", "2 plenary sessions", "33 sub-forums and "15 important activities", covering a range of topics from global public health governance system, international cooperation against epidemics, to the integration of health care.

"1+2+33+15", discussing the direction of global health industry

From June 10 to 12, 2019, Qingdao saw the first Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia. Experts and scholars in the field of health care from 55 countries and regions shared insights, experience, technology and various innovation achievements on health, a topic of concern for all mankind, which boosted the development of the big health industry in Qingdao. 

Two years later, the second Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia will be held in International Convention Center, Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition from June 1 to 4,. This year's conference will follow the theme of "Health Beyond Health — In the Year of Sustainable Development 2030", with the slogan of "Health for All", and around the three topics of "Universal Health Coverage", "Innovation for Health" and "Health in All Policies". The conference adopts the model of "1+2+33+15", consisting of "1 opening ceremony", "2 plenary sessions", "33 sub-forums" and "15 important events".

 Although the theme, slogan and sub-topics are the same as the first conference, the second Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia follows the changes in the global health field, and makes the response to the global new coronary pneumonia epidemic as the "highlight".

The conference will also include two plenary sessions on "Health in All Policies" and "International Cooperation in Response to Major Public Health Events", as well as two sub-forums on "Public Health and Emergency Medicine", "International Cooperation in Anti-Pandemic & The Path of High Quality Industrial Development", and "R&D, Accessibility and Affordability of COVID-19 Vaccines". A series of projects will be landed, and Qingdao's health industry will take a "new step"

 During the first Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia in 2019, a total of 25 domestic and foreign cooperation projects were signed and landed in Qingdao, with a total investment of 36.9 billion yuan, involving high-end medical services, biomedicine, medical devices, recreation and health care, Chinese medicine and other fields. The landing of a series of projects has brought an opportunity to accelerate the development of Qingdao's health industry.

In the past two years, under the influence of "Boao", Qingdao's health industry has been developing rapidly, and the added value of the city's medical and health industry reached 57.531 billion yuan in 2019. At present, there are 21 new large hospital projects introduced and under construction in the city, with a total investment of 29.8 billion yuan. The city's 51 disciplines have entered the list of the top 100 disciplines in the country, ranking first in the cities with separate plans. In 2020, 6 medical and health enterprises were listed in t 42 new-generation "Qingdao Golden Flower" cultivation enterprises. 58 A-share listed companies (including those that will be listed and to be moved in) include Huaren Pharmaceutical, Hailiel Pharmaceutical, Vland Biotech, Haier Biomedical and Yingkang Life, and Haier Biomedical became the first company in the city on the science and technology board.

During the second Global Health Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia, a signing ceremony for Qingdao's health industry cooperation projects will be held. A series of new projects will bring new opportunities for Qingdao, and Qingdao's health industry will take a new step forward.
