Boao Forum for Asia held its annual Working Meeting of the Board of Directors in Changsha on October 15th. The working meeting was attended by Chairman Ban Ki-moon, Vice-Chairman Mr. Zhou Xiaochuan, Secretary General Li Baodong, Dr. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Former President of the Philippines, Mr. Shaukat Aziz, Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Carlos M. Gutierrez, Former Secretary of Commerce of United States of America, Mr. Yasumi Kudo, Senior Advisor, Former President and Chairman of NYK Line, Dr. Oh-Hyun Kwon, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, Mr. Vincent LO Hong-sui, Chairman of Shui On Group, Mr. Mao Chaofeng, Executive Vice-Governor of Hainan Province, Mr. Romano Prodi, Former Prime Minister of Italy, Dr. Prof. Surakiart Sathirathai, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Dame Jenny Shipley, Former Prime Minister of New Zealand and representatives of members of Board of Directors and Council of Advisors.

The working meeting was chaired by Chairman Ban Ki-moon and Secretary-General LI Baodong’s made his work report. Following in-depth discussions on the theme and topics of BFA Annual Conference 2020 as well as the political and economic situations of the world, the Board endorsed unanimously the Secretary General’s Work Report and expressed approval and appreciation on the work carried out by the BFA Secretariat.
