Boao Forum for Asia Secretary-General Li Baodong said in Beijing on June 22 that the second Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia will be held in Qingdao, Shandong Province from June 15 to 17, 2020. The conference will continue to play the role as a platform and bridge to connect the development of health in China, Asia and the world, and contribute to the building of a global community of shared future in the field of health.

"Despite the tremendous global progress in health in recent years, the problem of inadequate and unequal access to basic health care in health still exists." At the press conference of the second Global Health Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia held on the same day, Li Baodong said Boao Forum for Asia focuses on the cutting-edge development and cross-disciplinary integration trends in the field of health, take a new perpective on global health, and is committed to gathering global wisdom and promoting international exchanges and cooperation in the field of health.

According to the President of the Global Health Forum, Margaret Chan, the second Global Health Forum will follow the theme of the first session "Health Beyond Health—In the Year of Sustainable Development 2030" and hold dialogues on "Health for All", "Innovation for Health" and “Health in All Policies”. The conference includes an opening ceremony, plenary session, summit roundtable of ministers and entrepreneurs, Global Health Expo and about 30 sub-forums.

The journalist learned from the conference organizers that the second Global Health Forum will include the topics of "traditional medicine" and "antimicrobial drug resistance" in the first conference, but will also inlcude hot topics such as "waste classification ""Say no to lifestyle diseases"", "Join in national fitness" etc.

The first Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia was held in Qingdao from June 10 to 12 this year, with about 2,600 participants from 55 countries and regions. The conference was co-hosted by Boao Forum for Asia and Shandong Provincial Government, and organized by the Organizing Committee of Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia and Qingdao Municipal People's Government.
