Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Secretary General Li Baodong said in Beijing on June 22 that the second BFA Global Health Forum will be held in Qingdao, Shandong Province from June 15 to 17, 2020. The conference will focus on the cutting-edge development and cross-disciplinary integration trends in the health field, take a new perspective on global health, and promote international exchanges and cooperation in the health field.

The second Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia held a press conference in Beijing on the same day, where Li Baodong made these statements. According to the conference, the theme of the conference is "Health Beyond Health—In the Year of Sustainable Development 2030", and "Cellular Immunity", "Pharmaceuticals and International Standards", "'One Belt, One Road', and People to People Bond" were included into the topics.

In his speech, Li Baodong pointed out that although the world has made great progress in the field of health in recent years, the problem of inadequate and unequal access to basic health care still exists. The second conference will continue to play the role as a platform and bridge to connect the health development of China, Asia and the world, and contribute to the building of a global community of shared future in the field of health.

During the conference, Margaret Chan, President of Global Health Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia, reiterated the significance of the theme of "Health Beyond Health" and hoped that high-tech companies, food companies, insurance agencies, rehabilitation products companies, environmental protection industries and transportation industries would participate in the discussion of the concept of health.

According to Margaret Chan, the second the Global Health Forum will hold dialogues on " Health for All", "Innovation for Health" and "Health in All Policies". The conference will include an opening ceremony, plenary session, summit roundtable of ministers and entrepreneurs, Global Health Expo and about 30 sub-forums.

The first Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province, from June 10 to 12, 2019, with about 2,600 participants from 55 countries and regions.
