On the afternoon of July 26, the "Online Forum on High Quality Development of TCM Hospitals", jointly organized by Beijing Huatong Guokang Foundation, Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia and Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was held. The forum invited the directors from 5 traditional Chinese medicine hospitals to explore the topics on promoting high quality of TCM hospitals. Luo Xiaoqin, deputy director of the Organizing Committee of Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia, delivered a speech at the forum.

Deputy Director Luo said in her speech that TCM hospitals are an important part of China's medical and health service system. Since the 18th National Congress of the Party, the national policy support for TCM has been increasing, and the people's demand for TCM health services has been rising. Through the discussion of experts at this online forum on high-quality development of TCM hospitals, more consensus will be reached and the TCM system will make more contributions to the construction of the global health system and the development of the health industry.

According to Luo, the Boao Forum for Asia Global Health Forum is a platform for international exchange and cooperation in the field of global health, which brings together the strengths of government, business, industry, academia and research. Since its launch, the forum has been focusing on the development of traditional Chinese medicine, and set up relevant sub-forums in the first conference, which has attracted broader participation from experts, scholars and entrepreneurs at home and abroad. The second conference will be held in Qingdao, Shandong Province in October 2020. Guided by the 15 action plans of the State Council's "Healthy China Initiative", the conference will implement the concept of "Health beyond Health", and seek in-depth cooperation with international organizations, ministries, professional institutions and industry experts, focusing on the three major topics of "Health for all", "Innovation for health" and "Health in all policies".

It is said that the GHF organizing committee and Beijing Huatong Guokang Foundation are making preparations for the sub-forum of "Public Health and Emergency Medicine" at the second conference and a series of events, and encourage participation of experts and talents in the exchange.
