On June 10th, 2019, Secretary General Li Baodong attended the Opening Ceremony of Global Health Expo of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA). Mr. Li said that the Global Health Forum (GHF) was launched by BFA to provide a highly representative, authoritative and comprehensive platform linking governments, businesses and academia for high-level dialogues and practical cooperation in the health field. As a side event of GHF, the Global Health Expo gathered many well-known Chinese and international health companies to exhibit around the theme of “universal health coverage” and the concept of “health for all”, reflecting the emerging trends and development potential of the health industry. This Expo once again shows that technology knows no boundaries.

Guests attending the Opening Ceremony included Dame Jenny Shipley, BFA Board Member and former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Dr. Margaret Chan Fung Fu-chun, President of GHF, Mr. Sun Jiye, Vice Governor of Shandong, and Mr. Meng Fanli, Mayor of Qingdao. After the meeting, the guests visited the exhibition hall.

The three-day Expo was held in the Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition, Qingdao West Coast New Area, Shandong. The event brought together more than 200 participating companies, particularly many established health-related enterprises at home and abroad. With an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, the venue was divided into the General Hall and the Shandong Hall.
