As an auxiliary exhibition of the Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), the three-day Global Health Expo of BFA (from June 10 to 12) opened today, signaling the official start of the Global Health Forum in Qingdao.

According to the organizing committee, more than 2,500 participants from over 55 countries and territories had been registered for the Global Health Forum as of June 9, including 248 journalists from nearly 100 media organizations.

As part of the Global Health Forum, the Global Health Expo of BFA features two halls—General Hall (S3) and Shandong Hall (S4), which are designed to create an integrated platform of business interaction and cooperation, while showing, promoting and marketing products and solutions from the health sector.

At present, exhibitors such as Tencent, Yili Group, Biolake, Beijing Huajian Blueocean Meditech Co., Ltd., and ikang Checkup in the general hall have completed the installation. In the 10,000 square meters of pavilion space, 58 enterprises and organizations from fields ranging from innovative drugs, cutting-edge equipment, biotechnology, smart healthcare, social security, public service and senior care. It is a panoramic show of the trends, latest developments and progress of China’s and global health sector.

The 10,000 square meter Shandong Hall hosts a total of 113 companies and organizations from fields such as medical care, biomedicines, elderly care including Weigao Group Co.,Ltd., Qingdao Haier Biomedical Co., Ltd., Qingdao KangEr Biological Engineering Co., Ltd., BGI, and Qingdao Hisense MEDICAL Equipment Co., Ltd.

Among them, Qingdao Haier Biomedical Co., Ltd. is a leading company in the field of biomedical cryogenic storage in China and the only global brand of full cold chain solution; Qingdao KangEr Biological Engineering Co., Ltd. is the first high-tech enterprise in China to develop marine resources globally; BGI National Marine Gene Bank project is the first national marine gene bank in China and is fully committed to building the world's largest joint marine research center, marine biological breeding center, and the world's leading marine scientific research center and education center.

The Global Health Expo is held in Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition in the West Coast New Area, Qingdao. Access for the public is free of charge. The Global Health Forum of BFA is scheduled from June 10 to 12. It is formatted to include an opening plenary, 28 sessions, 4 innovation roadshows, 16 important events as well as the opening ceremony of the Global Health Expo.
