On June 11, Dame Jenny Shipley, BFA Board member and former prime minister of New Zealand, addressed at the plenary of Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia.

Shipley said, with the development and progress of society, health services will increasingly become a common demand in all fields in all countries. We hope that people around the world can enjoy medical and health services through today's advanced technologies and policies, rational use of public resources, as well as philanthropy and other stakeholders. Research institutions play a fundamental role in improving people's health. Research should not only focus on scientific issues, but also on the well-being of communities and people. Only by better balancing scientific knowledge with commercial decisions and policy guidance can the results of scientific research better benefit the public, so that the advanced treatment methods that should be popularized can really be put into practice.

Shipley hoped that the forum can play an important role in promoting the translation of scientific research results, and this platform can gather people from all walks of life to discuss a variety of topics and promote the popularization and utilization of new technologies, so that we can achieve Health for All and Health Beyond Health.
