On September 4, Babatunde Ahonsi, representatives of UNFPA in China and Ms. Wen Hua, visited the Organizing Committee of Boao Forum for Asia Global Health Forum Conference, and were warmly welcomed by Deputy Director Luo Xiaoqin, and Mo Fan, Director of International Cooperation Department of the Organizing Committee.

Dr. Babatunde Ahonsi said that UNFPA had participated in the first conference and would continue to participate and cooperate in the second conference. Dr. Babatunde Ahonsi and Ms. Wen Hua emphasized that UNFPA pays great attention to the issues of women's health, adolescent health and gender equality. The purpose of this visit is to explore the possibilities and forms of cooperation and to find common ground for coordination and cooperation between the two parties. The organizing committee sincerely thanked UNFPA for its contribution to China and other countries, and hoped to cooperate more with the Foundation to promote gender equality and sexuality education.

The two sides also had in-depth discussions on the reception standards of different levels of the conference, the form of participation in the three major topics, funding and budget, etc.
