On the afternoon of September 9, 2019, the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) held the first Economist Roundtable at China World Hotel in Beijing, which attracted more than 180 participants from 29 initial countries of BFA, Chinese and international academic institutions, BFA members and media organizations.

The event was designed to solicit opinions on the theme and topics of the BFA Annual Conference 2020. All the participants were from important stakeholders and partners of BFA, who provided valuable feedback around the theme and topics of the upcoming annual conference after analyzing and anticipating key economic and technological trends. Their input will serve as important reference for the Work Meeting of BFA Board of Directors that is to take place in early October, and for the development of theme and topics of Annual Conference 2020.
