On November 13th-15th , Mr. Chengji, Executive Director of the Boao Forum for Asia Secretariat led a team to Macao for work exchange. During the stay in Macao, the team pays visits to Ms. Irene Va Kuan Lau, President of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, and Mr. Wang Dong, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao Special Administrative Region to have in-depth discussions on relevant cooperations between the Forum and the Macao SAR Government.

Executive Director Cheng Ji said that the Forum has been keeping friendly exchange and cooperation with Macao for a long time. The Macao SAR Government attends the Annual Conference of the Forum every year. The Forum also accepted invitations from relevant agencies of Macao and held two thematic meeting in Macao under the support of the Macao SAR Government. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is one of the most active frontiers of technological innovation. The Forum expects to join efforts with partners of Macao SAR and organize related activities in the field of scientific and technological innovation based on past cooperations.

President Irene Va Kuan Lau and Deputy Commissioner Wang Dong thanked the Forum for its attention and support given to Macao's economic and social development. The Forum is welcome to hold activities in Macao to promote economic diversification and international influence of Macao.
