On February 23rd, H.E. Mr. Li Baodong, Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia, met with H.E. Mr. Hideo Tarumi, Ambassador of Japan to China.   

Secretary General Li Baodong thanked Japan for consist support as one of its initial countries, as well as outstanding contribution made by former Prime Ministers H. E. Mr. Morihiro Hosokawa and H. E. Mr. Yasuo Fukuda. Secretary General Li said that the BFA Annual Conference is scheduled to be held in spring this year. The BFA welcomes Japanese entrepreneurs, policy-makers and scholars to participate in the BFA AC 2022 and join our efforts in fostering development and cooperation, speaking louder as Asians for sustainable economic recovery. Ambassador Tarumi reaffirmed the achievement and contribution of the BFA, and stated that Japan will continue to support the BFA and engage in its events such as the Annual Conference.

The two sides also exchanged views on topics such as Sino-Japanese friendship and regional cooperation etc.
