On June 2, 2023, Chairman Ban Ki-moon and Secretary-General Li Baodong met with Jie Yi, Director of the Organizing Committee of Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia ( GHF) in Beijing.

Chairman Ban Ki-moon spoke highly of GHF for its remarkable contributions to the development of the Boao Forum for Asia. He said, “Health has always been high on the agenda of BFA, and Asia is a great contributor to the health of humankind. I hope that Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia will continue to work as an influential international platform to further deepen global cooperation and make the voices of BFA on sustainable development of humankind better heard.”

Mr. Jie Yi reported what had been done by GHF in recent years, and expressed great gratitude to Chairman Ban Ki-moon and Mr. Li Baodong for their long-term care and guidance. Mr. Jie Yi said that since Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia was initiated in July 2018, the inaugural conference was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province in June, 2019, and the second conference was also held in Qingdao, Shandong Province in June 2021. GHF has always been working towards promoting the development of global health cause and the health industry, and fostering global cooperation. The organizing committee is committed to creating an international forum that never ends. The third conference is scheduled to be held at the end of 2023. Guests from different sectors will be invited to reach a consensus on issues such as AIDS Prevention and Treatment, Healthy Cities, Health Insurance, AI and Health to build a community with a shared future for human health.
