On the morning of June 2, the first plenary of the 2nd Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia took place, themed on “Health in all policies”. Francisco Duque, Secretary of the Philippines Department of Health, addressed the plenary.

Francisco Duque said, the COVID-19 pandemic has further exposed economic and health inequalities. Disparities exist between different countries and between different regions with regard to access to primary healthcare services. In light of this, there is a need to promote collaboration between countries, governments, business sectors, NGOs and international organizations to ensure vaccine accessibility and to work together to build a healthier and more resilient world. It only works when everyone works together to ensure no one is left behind. We should bind together and work towards a big victory.
