The second Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia will be held in Qingdao, Shandong Province, from June 15 to 17, 2020. The second conference will continue to serve as a platform and bridge to connect the health development of China, Asia and the world, and contribute to the construction of a community of shared future in the field of health.
On the morning of October 22, the second Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia held a press conference in Beijing.
With the theme of "Health Beyond Health—In the Year of Sustainable Development 2030", the second Global Health Forum will focus on " Health for All", "Innovation for Health" and " Health in All Policies", and will organize about 30 sessions, including the Opening Ceremony, the Plenary Session, the Summit Roundtable of Ministers and Entrepreneurs and Global Health Expo.
Mr. Li Baodong, Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia, pointed out at the press conference that despite the great progress made in the field of health in recent years, the problem of inadequate and unequal access to basic health care still exists. He said that Boao Forum for Asia focuses on the cutting-edge development and cross-disciplinary integration trend in the field of health, takes a new perspective on global health,, and strives to gather global wisdom and promote international exchanges and cooperation in the field of health.

Margaret Chan, Prsident of the Global Health Forum, introduced the theme of the conference, the setting of topics, the important guests invited and the arrangement of related activities as well as the progress of the preparation work at the conference. Sun Jiye, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, said in his speech at the conference that "Hospitable Shandong" welcomes all guests to participate in the second Global Health Forum. In order to build the Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia into a platform for high-end dialogue and cooperation in the field of global health, and to promote the construction of "Healthy China" and the development of global medical care and health industry, Shandong and Qingdao should make their due contribution.
Meng Fanli, Deputy Secretary of Qingdao Municipal Committee and Mayor of Qingdao, pointed out that Qingdao will work closely with Boao Forum for Asia Secretariat and the Organizing Committee of the Conference to organize and prepare for the Conference and provide more thoughtful and careful services to the guests. About 200 people attended the press conference, including representatives from embassies in China, international organizations, health-related government departments, health industry enterprises and the media.
