The Expo of Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia was grandly opened in Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition on June 10, 2019. BFA Secretary-General Li Baodong, Vice Governor of Shandong Province Sun Jiye, former New Zealand Prime Minister Jenny Shipley delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. President of the Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia Margaret Chan, and Mayor of Qingdao Meng Fanli attended the opening ceremony.  Deputy Mayor of Qingdao Xue Qingguo presided over the opening ceremony. More than 400 people attended the opening ceremony, including representatives of WHO and other international organizations, heads of relevant departments in Shandong and Qingdao, representatives of participating enterprises and media reporters.

The 2nd Global Health Expo of Boao Forum for Asia was opened at Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition on June 1, 2021. The opening ceremony was attended by nearly 400 guests, including representatives of international organizations and embassies in China, leaders of ministries and other provincial and municipal delegations, representatives of exhibitors and journalists. Li Baodong, Secretary-General of Boao Forum for Asia, Margaret Chan -, President of the Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia, HAJBA Tamás, Senior Advisor of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in China and Head of Beijing Office, Yu Mengsun, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Sun Jiye, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, and Zhao Haozhi, Mayor of Qingdao also addressed at the oning ceremony, which was presided over by Xue Qingguo, Member of CPC Qingdao Standing Committee and Deputy Mayor of Qingdao.

Pavilion Introduction

Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition is located in the coastal core area of the central dynamic zone of West Coast of Qingdao, the Ninth National New Area in China. With a total investment of 50 billion yuan, covering an area of 3,000 mu and a total construction area of 200,000 square meters, it can accommodate 6,165 international standard booths. The venue is composed of 12 rectangular pavilions. Each pavilion covers a net area of 10,000 square meters, with a net height of 12.5 meters, a ground bearing capacity of 3-5 tons, and power supply of 3,000 kW. The exhibition hall is divided by a cross corridor in the centre. The corridor is 550 meters long and 45 meters wide from east to west, and 350 meters long and 35 meters wide from north to south, covering a net area of 40 million square meters.
