What did the global economy look like in the first half of 2019? What are the important developments in Chinese economy that deserve attention? To address these questions, Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) held the second Members’ Club Activity for 2019 on July 5, 2019: Mid-Year Review on Global & China’s Economy. The event analyzed and discussed the current situation of global economy.

Secretary General LI Baodong delivered a welcome remark. Guests from various institutions shared their thoughts on topics of common interest like the performance of global and Chinese economy in the first half of 2019 and the predictions for the second half as well as the trade war between China and the United States. The panelists include: Professor HAN Baojiang from CPC Central Committee’s Party School; CAO Yuanzheng, Chairman of BOCI Research Company; MEI Xinyu, Senior Research Fellow of Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of MOFCOM; and WANG Yihua, Chief Accountant of China Huaneng Group. About 130 BFA members and representatives of BFA partners attended the event.
