On the afternoon of April 21, 2022, Science-based Approach in Fighting against the Pandemic Session was held at Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2022.

The session was hosted by Professor Wang Yu, expert advisor of Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia, Chairman of Chinese Foundation for Hepatitis Prevention and Control and Former Director of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Professor Wang Yu emphasized that "defeating the coronavirus pandemic requires government leadership, scientific support and universal participation". The Covid-19 mainly affects the elderly and people with underlying diseases, who are most likely to turn into severe cases from a high risk or even die after infection.
